Meet the people around you
An application for discovering and connecting with people near you right now over physical Bluetooth signals. No map, no distance measurement, and chat opens only after both people agree.
How Samely works
Direct discovery over short-range Bluetooth waves. There is no matching algorithm and no compatibility score.
Open the app
Turn on Bluetooth on your Android phone so the app can recognize nearby signals in your physical vicinity.
See people near you
Browse profile cards of users currently near you, showing how many times you have crossed paths.
Send a friend request
Send a request directly from nearby cards on Home, from a user profile screen, or from Area.
Start chatting
Chat opens only after both people agree to become friends. There is no open messaging with strangers.
Features built for genuine presence
Thoughtful spaces designed for mutual comfort, verified proximity, and private communication.
Home (Aura)
Shows people near you detected over Bluetooth waves. Displays how many times two people have crossed paths and a relative level of closeness, never an exact distance or map coordinate.
Area
Explore users in the same broad geographic zone. Coordinates are coarsened on the server so other users never see an exact location.
Feed
Publish text updates and images, and comment on friend posts. Posts from friends are pinned. Users from rank Gold upwards show a distinct rank badge.
Chat
Private conversations unlock only upon mutual consent. Supports one-to-one messaging, group rooms with a group leader, custom themes, and a Truth or Dare game.
Rewards & Missions
A free daily scratch card refreshed every day at midnight, milestone missions, referral bonuses, and team events with tangible gift redemptions.
Profile
Showcase authentic photos and bio information. All profile pictures undergo content moderation to keep the community safe and welcoming.
Privacy by design
Core protective principles built directly into the foundational software architecture of Samely.
No map and no distance
No user is ever shown a distance measured in meters or feet, an exact GPS coordinate, or a map pin of other members.
Chat only after mutual agreement
There is no public directory to browse strangers and send unsolicited messages. Chat opens strictly when both people accept.
Private blocking and reporting
Reporting is confidential and never disclosed to the reported person. A blocked user sees a neutral state with no notifications.
Account and data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and personal records anytime from in-app settings or via our public web deletion page.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about proximity discovery, personal privacy, and platform mechanics.
Does the app track my exact GPS location?
No. Samely detects nearby presence through short-range Bluetooth signals, without tracking or displaying your exact GPS coordinates. For the Area feature, positions are coarsened on the server to cover only broad geographic localities and are not retained permanently.
Who can see my profile?
Other Samely users who are in physical Bluetooth range or browsing the same broad Area can see your public profile card, including your photo, display name, and encounter count. Strangers cannot message you unless you both accept a friend request.
Is the application free to use?
Samely is free to download and use for core features including nearby discovery, friend requests, chat, and the daily scratch card. Optional paid VIP features are available through Google Play.
Why does the app use Bluetooth?
Bluetooth allows devices to detect physical proximity in real space without continuously sending coordinates to a central map server, protecting user location privacy by design.
Does a reported or blocked user know who took action?
No. The reporting mechanism keeps your identity confidential. When you block another user, they see a neutral interface state indicating messages cannot be delivered, with no disclosure of who initiated the block.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account directly inside the app settings (Profile > Settings > Account & Security) or submit a deletion request via our public web page at Account Deletion.
Can reward points be exchanged for cash?
No. Reward points and ranks have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money. Points can only be used on manual reward redemptions within the app.
